Our Beginnings
How it all Started..
On July 30th, 2010 the Mt. Alvernia High School Central Florida Alumni Association was launched in Tampa, Florida as an independent, non-profit organization. The membership has grown from a handful of alumnae to over 100 members and counting. The association facilitates communication with alumnae, organizes fundraisers for M.A.H.S. and seeks to strengthen the bonds of fellowship in our unified efforts to serve and support “The school on a hill called Alvernia”.
The Executive Board
At the first meeting of the Central Florida Chapter of the M.A.H.S. Alumni Association on July 30th, 2010 in Tampa Florida, the first Executive Board was formed. The members are Alumnae members who volunteer their time and talents to strategically plan, organize fundraisers, update members and ensure our chapter delivers the best possible opportunities to students of our alma mater, Mount Alvernia High School in Montego Bay, Jamaica.
