MAHSCFL COVID-19 Food Bank (MCFB): 1st Delivery

Donations from Caribbean Producers Ja. Ltd.

We launched the MCFB program in April 2020 to offset the dire, sweeping effects of COVID-19 on many MAHS students & their families.

The program received a robust response from alumni, organizations & individuals, whose giving made our first distribution possible in May 2020. It included:

    • Donated FoodFood staples (such as oil, eggs, red peas, cornmeal, canned goods, flour, rice, milk powder, pasta, crackers, chicken and more).
    • Masks
    • Sanitizer
    • Toiletries (toothpaste, feminine products etc.)

The relief was tangible and for many this was the only lifeline received so far. Our continued support will be necessary as the virus continues to cause havoc.

In addition, we also equipped the school itself with:

    • Handheld  Infrared Thermometers
    • Wash Stations
    • Sanitizer & Dispensers
    • Plumbing Supplies

WE STILL NEED YOUR HELP

This is not a one-time event, nor do we know when the acute need will end. We will simply continue to support them by responding to the need accordingly.  We believe NOT ONE STUDENT should go hungry during this outbreak.
