MAHS Central Florida Alumni Association extends our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who worked so hard to reach the goal of our “School Bus for MAHS” program and for the warm reception received at the memorable Bus Dedication Ceremony (video below) held in September 2019 . The event was opened with much pomp & circumstance after which the bus was blessed and handed over to MAHS. In the 90 years of the school’s existence they had never owned a school bus… until now!
Our Board members interacted with guests, students and staff at the event and many unabashedly admitted to being overcome by emotion while watching the fanfare, marching band, performances & grand entrance of the brand new MAHS School Bus as it rolled in through the school gates.
The students did a wonderful job of making the event special with their dances, marches and cheer leading routines.
After the event, the accolades continued to pour in and while such kind words validated our work, we must emphasize that it was only possible through the combined efforts of staff, alumni (including help from the South Florida, Montego Bay and Kingston chapters), donors and supporters who all played major roles in the fundraising efforts. MAHS itself donated J$1 million.
The new, J$16.7 Million Yutong 35-seater bus features plush seats with headrests, a refridgerator, USB ports, LCD monitors, Wi-Fi enabled and ample storage room for equipment, supplies or luggage for field and sports trips. 
Our Alumni chapter is privileged to uphold the heritage of MAHS & its legacy of charity and compassion, by helping our little sisters in whatever way necessary to make their quest for a solid education as problem-free as possible.The
